Model kit features: Accurately reproduced long 55 caliber 120mm smoothbore main gun adds to sense of power. 2 newly designed half body figures (commander and loader) included in kit. Goggles for figures, headlights and taillights reproduced using transparent parts. Kit features extra road signs for reproduction of realistic diorama. Includes decals to reproduce up to 4 different types of markings, including NATO versions used in Kosovo. *Historical Synopsis: Originally developed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, MaK in the early 1970s, the Leopard 2 was developed to replace the earlier Leopard 1 as the MBT for Germany. I haven't built a model in over 25 years. My wife gave me a new airbrush compressor kit for Christmas so I figured I would go for it. The model is very fun to build but I have large hands and had some trouble taking parts from the trees without breaking them. I recommend cutting the parts from the trees with a good exacto knife rather than flexing them until the tabs break. My model turned out excellent! You must plan ahead and figure out which parts must be painted with the base coat which is part of the fun. I painted all add on parts separately and glued them on with CA later.
