## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really nice workstation motherboard that is relatively cheap. Supports Rome processors very nicely.
*by K***S on June 16, 2021*

Initial problem of loose SP3 socket frame prevented cpu from registering. Tightened SP3 socket frame on motherboard and then no issue with cpu. Don't need 10Gb ethernet so 1Gb is fine. Don't need PCIE4, PCIE3 plenty fine for my four gpus installed. Currently running distributed computing load at 94% cpu loading on 48 cores. Temps are great and averaging around 45° C. for both gpus and cpu. Just a tick shy of max boost on all cores ~ 3.290 - 3.303Ghz with a Epyc 7402P.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ so far so good, with minor issues [edit]
*by A***T on December 1, 2019*

Using this with first-gen EPYC 7351P as home PC with KVM as hypervisor.I've had AMD Vega rx 64 card around, even though I wasn't planning on using it(that particular build had a single turbojet fan which was extremely noisy) but upon installing that the board would stop booting. Tried playing with different options in bios, didn't figure it out, gave up, went with nvidia 2070 instead. That's upsetting but that's probably not supposed to be in the server board anyway and I didn't have any motivation to push this to the support ticket - it was a noisy card.Other issue I bumped into recently is somehow I got locked out of IPMI. And there's no guide anywhere on how to reset password. All the tools out there to configure IPMI from within the box work and report success on changing password/adding user but it doesn't help me log in remotely. I'm currently waiting on manufacturer answer on this.Oh yeah, magic key is Ctr+Alt+F3. That'll take you to EPYC low-end tweaking bios menu where you can find things like TSME. It's not in the manual either.Edit 2021:Still using this two years constant running. BIOS chip that's preinstalled is 16MB, to be able to run 7002 (rome) gen you need 32mb chip. I have a constant contact with one of US representatives and they sent me new chips with new BIOS for free, some two years after purchase. Also they did help me with the IPMI password reset issue by providing dos exe. It was quite a hassle to get a proper dos image though but it did work in the end. Also the board works with 7351P at 2666MHz with a more recent samsung 3200MHz LRDIMM 128GB. Probably 256GB 3200MHz banks work just fine too. Those are quite expensive but that would enable you to have 2TB of RAM for just one CPU. Neat.

### ⭐⭐ Absolute Nightmare stay away. Defective.
*by C***E on December 31, 2022*

Employer purchased this from this seller and this has been a nightmare for months now. Initially it would boot up and work but if you shut down, power button does not power it on. You have to unplug and wait a while then it can be turned on again. Then, while still having the power on issue, it would post inconsistently and most times just hang on 0d with DXE--Core Started displayed on vga port. A few presses on reset button or powering off, unplug and power on it would work eventually. But not it just does not work. Looking in forums this seems to be a common issue with this board. Please Stay away from this Asrock trash. Asrock support is awful. BIOS and BMC upgrades/downgrades did not improve the issues. Tried different CPU, different ram. Same nonsense. When it used to work, it would stay on for months. But God forbit this thing has a reboot or there is a power outtage.Seems to be a BMC issue on the forums. There is no BMC heartbeat on the board either when it fails.I will have to contact the seller for another. If not all I can say to you is. DO NOT BUY
