But, you know...I knew these jeans fit before I purchased them because I had also purchased a pair at my local Burlington Coat Factory. They don't gap at the waist on me and are the perfect length while having the ideal amount of stretch.We all know what we're personally looking for in jeans, and honestly? Well, you have to try them on. If they fit ME perfectly, that means there are only about 1,000 other people on planet Earth that they will ALSO fit perfectly (including the woman who acted as fit model when the pattern was thrown together).I feel honored to be part of such an elite group of humans. After a few tries, I found the pair in this style that works well for me. My experience might be helpful for someone else. I'm in my late 50's. I wear a 10 or 12 in most good quality jeans and pants. The confusing thing about these jeans is that apparently the different color choices fit differently and have different fabric blends. I'm 5'4" and like a 32" inseam for slacks or boot cut jeans that I would wear with a heel. These are straight leg and the 30" inseam works for me. Initially I purchased the "dark" in a 31" waist. The fabric was thin and stretchy--comfortable but too large. I tried the "dark used" next in a 30" waist and they were a little thicker--more like a traditional jeans fabrication. I discovered they run smaller and these were a bit tight in the thigh. So, my third try was a 31" waist in the "dark used" and they fit fine. Thankfully amazon has free returns on clothing! So hard to find women's jeans that are still jeans (even if mostly). These are thicker with the look and feel of real blue jeans. The wash! I got the traditional dark indigo. It's real. It's even, amazing. The high waist! The overall classic and classy look.Cons: They still have too much spandex. Half or quarter of one percent would be plenty. The waist is higher and very tight but I still find myself hiking them up; off and on all day long. Talking with other women of all ages this is a constant and common complaint, esp about "jeans".
