Very portable. I have two and am now replacing them. Over time they begin to crack and chip but continue to keep pills contained. Medium is roomy for all I require. Having taken them to Europe and Japan and through many many domestic travels, I find them to be reliable and sturdy for long enough. Others are more flimsy and fail far more quickly. I reccommend these and suggest that when you are traveling, you place them in a gallon ziplock to give them a bit of air padding and to contain any possible spills. I've had very few spills.
