I used S.M. nut files and a belt sander and spent a few HOURS to get it where it needed to be. Very nice, reminiscent of brass nuts from the 80s, 'cept matches the color of the frets and looks 10x more METAL. Solid addition and should last forever. I popped it in and started playing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ You may need to shim this. *by J***. on May 26, 2023* I bought this as a replacement for a plastic nut that I had on a homebuilt guitar I have. It was two things early on. I found out it was a bit wider that the nut I had. So I had a choice to either sand the titanium nut or the guitar's slot. I carefully filed the guitar nut slot wider. Once I got it seated, I noticed that it was too low for the slot. (and no I didn't make the slot deeper). I had to shim it some to get the first position 1st E string not to buzz. I don't plan on changing this out again any time soon. This particular nut is lower on the high string side. I can't say whom this will or will not work for.
