I checked the temperature calibration via ice water and boiling water and all 6 were dead on.>User tip #1, use an extra probe empty to track the ambient heat. I found my electric smoker was 30 degrees hotter than then control said it was.>User tip #2, you will lose temperature graph tracking it you have to leave or close the app for any reason. If you load the app on a device that will stay in bluetooth proximity during the whole cooking cycle it is best. (My most recent smoker experience took 31 hrs.Only cons, temperature resolution is 2 degrees. (Does not display odd numbers)Suggestion: It would be cool if the app could use the slope to calculate and project a time to achieve setpoint. I realize the cooking process is not always linear, but they could use a most recent 10-15 minute window to calculate the slope and extrapolate the completion time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great unit that really helps! *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2019* I bought this unit in December but had an issue the first time I went to use it (their customer service is great by the way). Well, skip ahead and I'm looking at smoking a variety of meat and I'm not looking forward to constantly checking various temps with a handheld thermometer especially as everything has different target temps and cooking times. So I decided to give this unit another go - and how glad am I that I did! I used all but one of the probes to track temps for two chickens, two Chuck roasts, and the temperature of the smoker itself. It worked great and exceeded my expectations. The range is much better than other thermometers and the app is easy to use. In the app, you can identify each probe by number (corresponding to the plug in the base unit), meat type (which includes recommended target temps), and probe color. If you select a meat type from their list then the app will set an alarm when the target temps is met. You can also set an alarm to go off after a specified amount of time, handy if you need a reminder to sauce your ribs. The app also let's you set custom presets, for example I created a preset label for my smoker and set a high and low threshold. I also set a custom label for a chuck roast since my target was different than the standard beef settings. The app can also show you a chart of the temps over time but there is no way to save them for future reference.All in all a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend this 6-probe set with case. It works great!Picture notes:#1 shows my smoker in action with the temperature probes in place.#2 shows my custom labels in the app on the bottom. Setting new labels is easy to do but you have to select either a target temp or temp range and you cannot change the icon. Those are non-issues for me but I bet someone might ask the question. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes grilling safer and easier *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2018* Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Before this I had an iGrill mini, the iGrill only had one prong and didn't last too long but I knew I wanted another device. I really like that this has a built in display and also connects to my phone through bluetooth, this makes it easy to glance at the device instead of having to check my phone every time I want to know the temperature. It also lets me set alarms so I get notified when the food is done. Another pro is the fact that this uses AA batteries, these last a lot longer than the coin cell that was in the iGrill and are also easier to find in stores.Having 6 probes seems like overkill, but its better to have extra rather than not enough.
