Help seal things up
Use them for alcohol to help control evaporation. I have noticed less condensation in the bottles. Itโs very stretchy so a roll goes a long way. Very easy to use, nice and thick material. Good value for the money.

Great for sealing old perfumes!
I use Parafilm to seal perfume bottles, and have always bought it in the strips when I was in Europe. It came from Germany. Now that I am back in the US, I decided to buy the roll, and actually find this even better than the strips because you can cut it to any size you want, either length wise or across. It is an excellent product for sealing bottles or flacons that contain liquid. You simple remove the backing and take one end, stretching the tape a couple of inches or so before you start to wrap the neck of a bottle. Then holding one end in place against the bottle, keeping stretching and winding the tape to make a perfect seal. The product then shrinks back somewhat to its former self, making a water tight seal. Highly recommended! I believe this product was developed for lab work, so it is high quality and efficient. A++++

Amazing Invention
This stuff is magic. I had no idea it existed. I use it on every bottle of dangerous and volatile (alcohol) that I have. It's super easy to apply: I usually take about a 3-inch length of the parafilm, stretch it to 5 or 6 inches, and wrap it around the joint where the cap meets the bottle. It's not adhesive, so there's no sticky tape or residue to remove. It sticks to itself and is super easy to remove. Everyone should know about this product. I guess I could use it in places where I would normally use a rubber band, but for right now I'm using it to reinforce the seal on bottles of clove oil, thyme oil, acetone, alcohol, glacial acetic acid, other acids and bases, and eyedropper bottles of chemicals that I use with my microscope. Truly great stuff. It's a huge roll, at a very low price on Amazon.

Useful for home as well as the lab
I was introduced to Parafilm in a chemistry lab and immediately searched online to find some for myself. Parafilm, for those who don't know, is a paraffin wax tape which can be wrapped around the caps of bottles, jars, and other containers to improve their seal. When wrapping, you pull the film tight and stretch it around the container. The quality of its seal is very impressive, and useful for long term storage and sealing of dangerous or otherwise unpleasant chemicals. It is expensive, but you get quite a bit and will likely never again have to buy more. Parafilm is routinely used in chemistry labs to seal containers of acids and strong bases. There aren't many chemicals strong enough to eat through wax (one would be fluoroantimonic acid), and none of them are in your kitchen.

Does what it says... For those not ...
Does what it says... For those not in the know... Its a semi-elastic, waxy sort of film. Press it together and it will form a self-adhesive bond. In my case, I tried to use it to seal up a grafting wound. Unfortunately the branch I was trying to graft was just too thin. Couldn't wrap it tight and had to use a compound instead. Ideally, you wrap this stuff tightly around the wound and it forms a semi-transparent air-tight seal. Helps compress things together and support the graft joint.

Fast shipping
I need this fast and got it fast. Unfortunately 1 roll last me a long long time so I have no need to frequently buy. Good parafilm used for plant cuttings

It's working fine for my purposes
I used it, so far, to wrap the upper portions of fig tree cuttings, to minimize risk of fungus, etc., while I root them in moist coco coir and fine bark. So far, I am getting good roots and no fungus or related problems. Sprouts can push through this product easily enough.

A Tad Expensive
Price could've been lower, but for lab-grade supplies, you can't go wrong with this choice. Strips are wide enough to be folded over to provide a thicker seal. Performance is in accordance to spec.

Poor quality - brittle constantly snapping
Brittle, constantly snapping. Presumably out of date stock. Unlike any parafilm I've bought in the past, with 1 in 3 strips cut to wrap petri dishes snapping as soon as stretched. Have had to buy replacement elsewhere.

original parafilm
I liked this product. At present, I have used for sealing of precious bottles like liquor for long storage purposes. It is a huge quantity package intended for laboratory purposes I think. Preferred small quantity packages for home use. Any how quality is on its par.
