Even though my 4.2 liter V6 Envoy is pushing 250,000 miles the added pep and increased fuel efficiency are most definitely noticeable.I'd just completed a full tune-up and had increased my mileage by 15%. The K&N arrived about 2 weeks afterwards. While plugs & wires increased my mileage from 14.2 to 16.3 mpg, the addition of the air filter increased my mileage from 16.3 to 19.5 mpg! That's a 20% increase in efficiency.As a bonus, throttle response is also improved and the motor hums in a satisfying baritone. At this rate, my investment in the K&N air filter will save me 200 gallons of gasoline over the first year, as I drive 25,000 miles annually.
