When I was a little kid one of my favorite "special treats" was when I had enough money saved up to ride my bike to the liquor store and buy 4 of these for a dollar. The second I saw them on Amazon for sale, and at the price, I had to have em!!! Bought this one, one in Teriyaki flavor and Teriyaki Beef Sticks. Now every time I go in my kitchen, that favorite childhood "special treat" is just waiting for me to eat way to many! :) I've seen some comments that stated they came stale, hard as a rock. When I ate the first one, the first bite I did sort of stop mid bite and thought "this taste a little weird." Well, it was actually because they were so fresh, my palate was used to the semi or, full on stale stuff I'd been buying for over 30yrs. I ate so many the first day they came in, I ended up putting the jar I had on my kitchen countertop in the pantry because I could not walk by it without at least grabbing one...ok, at least 2...maybe 4;) Good stuff, great price. I think I may just leave a jar open for 24hrs so they do taste a little more stale just like the liquor store ones I am used to. lol

Not a negative review but everyone needs to know that this is not a slice of real beef cured like real jerky meat. This is a ground paste that was cooked and then sliced to look like jerky and packaged. Bland taste and looks like _ _ _ treats.

There are generally two kinds of jerky, strips of meat or jerky made from ground meat. This jerky falls into the ground meat category. The flavor is great, traditional salt and pepper sort of style with a nice touch of smoke. The black pepper is on point. I was actually glad to see the usage of MSG as well, it adds a really nice savory flavor to pretty much anything. The jerky is very edible and not tough on the teeth at all, like strips can be. As far as value, jerky can be expensive, but $20ish dollars for the 13ish oz., I feel like this jerky is a steal. I'll have no problem finishing the container and returning for additional orders. Definitely looking forward to trying their other products as well.

Tell me how old does this look? Also, there is no flavor except a rubbery taste. The box comes with a greasy inside like its been sitting on the shelf since forever in the summer heat. It's very disappointing, especiallly since I'm trying to find the Tillamook taste that I had a year ago and it's been disappointing every time. They no longer taste the way they used to and the quality has plummeted. Also, this one is a no return item which makes sense since it's a consumable product. However, it is unacceptable that the product is obviously maltreated. For all I know the rubber taste could be from the extensive exposure to heat and the plastic container rubbed off on the product which is why it tatses like rubber. Also, under Amazon Return Policy, it is eligible for refund or replacement if it arrives damaged. Given the the way the product looks, it is more than damaged to me, yet there is no "refund" or "exchange" option available. Very disappointed. Never have I thought my first one star would be given like this.

Ordered two containers this time and found several hard pieces in each container. These pieces were so hard that they had to go right in the trash. I'm disappointed because I've been ordering these for awhile and these two containers were the worst yet. Not sure if I will be buying anymore. The flavor is good and a great source of protein on the run for a snack. I ordered the pepper flavor before and it was great but I can no longer find it. Be cautious when buying this product because throwing several hard pieces away is not cost effective. This is supposed to be company with high quality products.
