Women's Easy Reader Watch

Have been wearing this watch style for over 35+ years. Love that you can push the button to see time in the dark, its not digital, battery last a year or longer, easy to read & I like the look of it. My only issue is that the watch band doesn't last anywhere as long as the watch & its getting harder to find replacements for them unless you go to jewelry store If you have had it for a while it's just cheaper to buy another new one You can have the more expensive watches these are little work horses that do not disappoint.

Wonderful, accurate little watch

I was not sure about ordering a used but restored watch. When the order arrived I was pleased at how well it was wrapped and it was in, what appeared to be, the original box. The watch had a brand new wrist band and it was tight and showed no signs of wear. The watch itself was pristine with no scratches or marks. I was pleased to see that the watch also contained a correct and working battery. I set the time and it waited a few hours to see if it kept good time. It was correct, to the second. I am very pleased with the service from this seller and with the watch itself. High marks all round.

Inexpensive, but accurate and durable. Battery life is 3 yrs long, though the handy indiglo lighted dial goes dim long before the watch stops. The leather band is a bit cheap and overlong for many wrists. The plastic crystal over the face is easily scratched. We treat them as disposable, because replacing band and battery costs as much as buying a new watch. Skip the date model; it's really too small to read. 4 stars because it's practical and reasonable value.

I've been purchasing this style for many years & keep coming back for more in different band colors. It is my go to style. Fits my small wrist, the face is easy to read, it has a second hand for counting up to a minute, lights up in the dark with a push of the side button, easy to set the time. I hope it keeps being made for many years to come.

Have worn this model and loved it for many years. It's lightweight, doesn't get in the way and keeps time perfectly. When the band finally started wearing out at the same time the battery finally gave out I decided to use an Amazon gift card to get a new one for free (if I hadn't had the gift card I'd definitely have replaced band and battery on the old one because I love this watch so much). I have worn it while gardening, exercising, doing all kinds of DIY projects and it has held up to all kinds of banging around. It has gotten splashed with water numerous times from the garden hose and once accidentally dropped in the goldfish pond for 30 minutes and lived up to the Timex "keeps on ticking" motto. My new watch looks identical in every respect to my old one, for once it seems a company has kept a good thing going. It's keeping perfect time so far (6 weeks) and on close inspection I can't detect any signs of cheapening/substitution in the manufacturing from my old one. It's a pretty, classic design, watch face size and shape are perfect for my taste, not too big or too small, and the font used for the numbers is very attractive so I don't feel like such an "old lady" for wanting an "Easy Reader" watch. Some commenters write that the band on the current watch is shorter than older versions, attaching photo of my old (10+ years) and new ones, length is exactly the same on mine. Some commenters write that the watch band is too short, period - laid out flat band + watch + buckle = 8 inches. Fastened using the second hole from the end the circumference of band + watch = 7.5 inches, so if your wrist is on the larger/thicker side I do recommend you measure your wrist and current watch before you order. I have a 6 inch wrist and buckle on the 3rd or 4th hole depending on what I'm doing. Some commenters write that the band is too stiff - if you've had this watch before, the new one feels exactly like the old one did when you started. It is a bit stiff at first (hey, for this price I don't expect glove leather!) but after a month it's already getting a lot more flexible day by day just as the old one did, just needs a breaking-in period. Working the band with your fingers a bit every day before putting on and after taking off speeds up the process, massaging in a drop or three of Lexol speeds it up too. Again, I'm fine with that for this price! All in all I'm super-happy to find that this is the same pretty and practical watch I have loved for years. Thank you Timex!

Bought as a gift for my daughter. Size is great, perfect for her wrist. Dial is clear and easy to read too. Packaging was a single plastic bag, definitely sub-par, as the plastic holder had broken into several pieces. The indiglo function needs to be properly quality-checked too. At first glance it looked okay, but it does not properly cover the entire watch face. There seems to be a dead zone below the 6 o’clock digit. I’ve looked at other reviews and noted this is not an isolated issue. My daughter doesn’t seem to mind too much, but it would bother me no end.

Love this basic watch, you can’t go wrong either a Timex!
