It leaves your lips looking creamy not totally flat and matte. **Q: Does it feel sticky after applying?** A: No it doesn't. It will make your ordinary lipstick feel perfectly dry and sealed to the touch. Your lipstick will not smear. Using it to do makeup for the film industry I swear by it. I use it every time I use lipstick that doesn't have its own sealer. Just bear in mind, once you put it on, you will have to use a makeup remover to take it off. I do recommend having a professional makeup remover, not a remover towel/wipe. I prefer something with a creamy base like the Dermablend remover. After eating some foods with lots of oils in them, the sealer may break down some and you may have to reapply, but often I can put my lipstick on once and it will last all day. You can kiss someone with red lipstick if you've sealed it with this, and it won't rub off on them. AT ALL. People are always surprised - they expect they will have to rub off red lipstick, but there's absolutely nothing there. **Q: Does it dry out your lips?** A: Didn't notice it drying my lips but the intent of which I bought it was to prevent my lipstick from bleeding which it didn't so I stopped using it. Yes, it locks in *lipstick*. Not gloss. Works well to keep lipstick on, not feather. Longevity depends on formula, lipstick can last 8 to 12+ hrs. But, it smells like pure alcohol. It burns until it dries. Probably, 30 seconds. And, it will dry your lips out. Not an everyday use product. You will need chapstick after use. I am not in likely to repurchase. Rem beauty has a far superior product but, it is pricey. NYX also has a product similar, it's glossy. ### ⭐ Unsatisfactory Product *by A***S on July 3, 2012* When I put this product on over my lip gloss, it had the most terrible smell and you couldn't help but taste it, because it is a thin liquid, and it was awful--almost like a chemical. I applied it anyway, it burned a little, and in less than 1/2 hour my lip gloss was off my lips, as it would have been if I didn't apply Lip Lock. I was expecting it to be like the sticky formula that some companies sell attached to their lip gloss tube-like application method, on the other side. They keep the lip gloss on for hours and hours and you need to take it off with makeup remover or soap.I was so disgusted that I didn't even bother to ask if I could return the product for a refund. I am home bound, and it wasn't worth trying to find someone and paying them to go to the Post Office. I just took the loss.
