Review: Works great, get multiple traps - I bought two last year for my mole problem and used them for weeks with no results. I ended up having to sit outside with a spade waiting for the ground to move like a complete weirdo. I’m sure my neighbors thought I had lost my mind. But this had become a true Caddyshack moment between me and this mole. It was personal. Totally destroyed my entire front lawn and my garden beds. Ended up getting it with my shovel. This year another mole showed up and in five days almost completely ruined all of my annuals and started in on my lawn again. I bought two more traps. I identified where they were coming out from underneath the porch and their main tunnels that fed the secondary tunnels. About two hours after setting all four traps, one had tripped and my cat was standing over it staring intently. I could hear the spring twitching. I dug it up with a shovel and there it was, clinging to life. These things are solid pieces of equipment, well designed. Don’t get cheap knock offs, you get what you pay for. It comes down to this; if you only have a couple traps, you better know where they are coming from otherwise they will just make more tunnels and go around them. I hate to sound like a salesman, but you need to have multiple traps to catch the moles in the act. They work too quickly for single or few traps. But if you compare this to the hundreds of dollars I spent on annuals this year, and the hundreds of dollars it took me to repair my lawn last year, these traps are the best money I’ve ever spent. Also, make sure to set them deep enough or the moles just sneak out under them. These traps work perfectly if you know what you’re doing but you have to find the tunnels they use.
Review: Don't waste money on this trap! - I purchased this trap several months ago. It would set (at first) and we tried it in several areas. Not once did it ever release or catch anything. So we pushed the little lever on the side to release it. Beware, though, it really snaps. After that, we tried over and over to set the trap again....my hunky husband tried, and I tried, but the spring won't stay set. In addition to that, the "pedals" on the side that you are supposed to put your foot on to push it into the ground, are so tiny that it's almost impossible to get your shoe on the side of it, even with my small feet.. Our experience with this useless trap is very negative. Since it doesn't catch anything, and mechanically doesn't work, it's going in the garbage.

**Q: Hi i really like my traps. Only thing is the plastic steaks break off. Can i buy just the steak that goes in the ground?**
A: Individual replacement parts are not available for our traps. They are covered under a one year replacement policy.

**Q: Can this be used to kill gophers?**
A: Yes it can kill gophers, as long as you place the trap in the path of a current tunnel. Refer to "You Tube" videos on the same subject. Hope this helps.

**Q: How do you set it? I pull all the way up but it wont lock into position.**
A: From my experience it sounds like you have the prongs too deep and the ground it tripping the trigger.  Try not pushing the stakes quite so deep and see if it will set/lock.  I know it kind of defeats the purpose.

**Q: I have an outdoor cat. Has anyone used this with their pets, and if so, has their pet unintentionally sprung the trap so it has to keep being reset?**
A: I don’t have a cat but am familiar how a cat would react to the traps If they set it off once they would avoid it like the plague

Nice trap. Needs improvement. The Third time I moved it a plastic spike leg broke off at the screw that holds the trap together. The trap needs to be reinforced where screws are. Do not tilt the trap when removing it from the ground trying to see if it got a mole. That's how I broke mine. Over all it is a good trap. This one killed 3 moles that were destroying my yard. After it kills a mole, wash your trap with soap and water. The moles can smell death and will avoid your trap. I do recommend this trap but, be careful when you put it in the ground and when you move it. Hopefully Victor will see this and make improvements needed to make it more durable.
