Period. *by A***Y on August 2, 2019* Let me put it like this: If you're having trouble answering your client's questions, you need this book STAT. (I mentioned this in another review of the Milady reference guide) Mark Lees' knowledge is unmatchable in this industry. There are NO gimmicks, NO pushing you to buy his products, and most importantly, there is NO CONFUSION when he is eloquently explaining the situation. Skin is complicated to understand and skin theory can be boring to certain people; He makes it so literally anyone and everyone can understand the problems they may be experiencing. I have even referred the book itself to clients who were interested in learning more about their skin and the way it works because it's THAT easy to understand. Let me also mention that if you have Paula Begoun's books, you should really consider adding this one to your collection: estheticians need to hear the same things multiple ways to ensure that we truly understand what we're doing. Paula's approach is okay and everyone should own her Beauty Bible, but in turn, we have to have other sources to reference. His version of things is in laymans terms and is a lot easier for your clients to retain. Let me be very clear: I'm not sponsored by anyone, I'm not here to bash anyone, and I don't know either person. I was in the game for a long time and I was successful because I referenced his books over and over again.
