Great set- terrific gift idea
This is a great card set and would make a terrific birthday gift. I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old and we have been enjoying this set. The cards are well made, and the card holders are a nice touch (although there are only 2 of them in the set)- my six year old prefers to just hold the cards in his hand, but my 4 year old puts the cards in the holder and actually sets the holder on the table standing up. There are 4 card games. "Alphabet Soup" is a memory game with 26 pairs from A/Apple to Z/Zipper. Crazy Eights is similar to Uno. There is also Go Fish and Old Maid. My kids like Old Maid best. While there are a lot of cards in the Old Maid set and the cards are durable, the pairs of the Old Maid cards are different vocations (architect, police officer, pilot, mayor) and the pictures are a little dry/serious. I remember Old Maid with silly pictures of crazy characters, which is not how this is. Very happy with my set and will consider it for a birthday/holiday gift.

The best!
I've gotten another brand at a big box store that were cheap and the pictures were blah. These are fantastic cards! They are a great thickness and quality, the pictures are very well done plus fun and the numbers aren't confusing to young kids. We have other game cards that have the number on the top and bottom corners, both facing the middle of the card which is confusing when one looks like a 9 and one looks like a 6. One game of these has only one number at the top corner and another game has the number on the top and bottom but they are both facing downward so as long as the picture is facing the right way toward the child, there's no issue with what number it is. I got this for Christmas for my 4yr old. The two cardholders work very well also and are helpful for small hands. Great purchase!

Cute Deck!
We misplaced our other Old Maid deck of cards, so ordered this to keep us busy during our home time for CV-19. It was delayed because Amazon is only shipping necessary items right away, which I understand. It did arrive earlier than we were told though, so that was great. The box the cards are in came in a soft envelope, so I was concerned about the condition, but when we opened the envelope, they were perfect! The box itself was wrapped in celophane. The box is sturdy & the cards are all nice. There are 2 cards with directions on them. Then there are 44 cards (22 pairs of different careers) and one Old Maid card. We've already played 4 games and the deck is like new. I think it will be around for a long time! Pleased with price and purchase.

Great classic game
I like that these pictures are much more classic and not too kiddish. My kids love this game. Brings back good memories of playing this when I was a kid.

Great cards with large pictures.
Teaching the young one to play some of my favorite card games is really fun. Go fish was my all time favorite and even to this day I rather enjoy it and I am happy to say my little one likes it too. The card holders are supposed to make it easier for little hands to hold lots of cards. They do a pretty good job however a little loose so the cards can fall out when you are reaching for one. That being said it's not a deal breaker. We are having a ball with this set. The cards are each made pretty well with large pictures and easy to follow instructions. With 4 games you get hours of fun that the family will enjoy for a long time. While you are playing they are learning! Overall. Cute set of playing cards. Fun games that teach matching skills and numbers. Card holders could be better but not critical enough for me to worry.

great set of cards!
love this set. good buy- all four games and the card holders for a great price. cards are regular card size. not thick, not thin, just like a regular deck of cards. we like the card holders but hard to use when you get tons of cards, like you can do in these games, and I will have to fan the cards out for my 7 year old. I like that they all fit nicely into this one box. sometimes one lone deck of cards can disappear in my home. cute set, with cute illustrations. my daughter loves all the games.

We're teaching our three-year-old how to play Go Fish, and he loves these cards. It's nice that they have a picture of an animal AND a number - we were using a regular deck of playing cards before, and he has a much easier time with these. They've helped him a lot with recognizing the numbers. I personally love the art on these. My favorite thing about this deck is that the cardstock is really high-quality; we haven't had any trouble with the corners bending or the cards getting dinged up while shuffling. It's nice that these will last.

Great game, easy to play with the 4 year old and fun. Only criticism would be using more basic sightwords, as some of them are a bit too difficult for beginner readers.

My 4 year old loves this game. Using all the letters is a bit much for him right now so I separated the letters of his name to start with. Itโs fun for him and hopefully he is learning letter recognition too.
