Boon Benders Adaptable Utensils Blue/Green

I took a chance and ordered this set based on the reviews I read on amazon. They turned out to be great for my 15 month old. He got so excited when he fed himself fruit with the fork. I highly recommend this product to the Moms who wish to train their toddlers. My son had a sense of achievement and I was thrilled to see that. Someone had mentioned in their review that the surface area of the spoon is small. I agree but you cannot have a small child have too much on his/her spoon when self feeding... It would be all over the place. The best part about the product is the way they bend on either side. Great product!!!

Great product, easy to bend and as a grandmother with some limited mobility that helps. My 8 month old granddaughter loves to self feed with this spoon/fork set. She will also just chew on them too as they are soft enough for teething infants to enjoy. I like the fact that I can change direction of the spoon as my granddaughter has not yet shown a hand preference. The bowl of the spoon is nice and shallow and great for eating. The handle width is just right for little hands just learning to self feed. Great design.

I have kind of a love hate relationship with these utensils. I love the materials they are made out of and the fact that the head can bend to meet my son's changing needs as he becomes more proficient in the use of utensils. However, the mouth pieces on these are very shallow and not large enough for him. He does not really get a good bite and eventually becomes frustrated.

These are such GREAT little utensils. They are so very bendable. When my daughter was 9-10mos, she chewed on them and held them during meals. Then at 15mo she was able to easily hold and manipulate them to feed herself with no trouble at all. They are a great learning tool! My favorite part is they have short handles and a small food surface. This drastically reduces the messy drops and spills that we see with bigger spoons. I'm back to order more for my 2nd baby. Highly recommend!

Reviews for this product seem split evenly between positive and negative. I think it depends on your kid's age. These are small. They are perfect for my 11-mo old, who has started to take an interest in spoon-feeding himself. The size and shape are perfect, and the raised edge of the spoon bed prevents peas from falling off on the way to his mouth. However, the raised edges also prevent him from getting all of food off the spoon if it's mushy stuff like oatmeal, which I don't mind. So it's a good spoon for self-feeding, not for the adult to feed baby with. I'm giving it three stars because I wish they'd sell just the spoon, because we don't use the fork. He's still at the chewy/bitey stage, so he chews on both ends a lot. I'm afraid the pieces of the fork will break off in his mouth with his aggressive biting. Also not sure if it can really be used to spear anything.

I am seriously in love with this product! My 13 month old has shown signs of wanting to use utensils. I always give him a spoon when he eats and lately he has been reaching over to my plate with his spoon to try to grab food. The problem is that the food always falls off before he gets it to his mouth. So I purchased these wonderful things for Christmas. The first time he used it he was picking up his scrambled eggs with the "spork" and actually getting them in his mouth!!! We were all very excited. He has also used the spoon(bent) to eat yogurt. These are the most fantastic utensils for toddlers.

These are fantastic if you have a young child who likes to "help" during mealtimes. The utensils are very shallow, so you can't get much on them. That is actually a good thing for a beginning feeder, though. I can put a small amount on the spoon, and my son can work on feeding himself without wasting a ton of food. With the chubby handle and easy bending (I can do it with one finger while he's holding the utensils), he's been pretty successful getting the food into his mouth from the very beginning. These probably won't be very useful when he gets old enough to feed himself completely alone, but, with a little parental assistance, they're great for teaching the skill and fostering independence in a new eater.

I bought these thinking it would help my daughter start eating by herself, but really no use for these. The spoon is too small and the fork as well and honestly the fork can't hold anything. These turned into a toy for her. They do adjust and help with the holding, but the size it just not right.

Esta muy practicos pero creo que les falta volumen en la cuchara y tenedor, en verdad le han ayudado a mi hija y el otro pero es que tardan en llegar, por lo demás los materiales son de buena calidad.

I ordered this set because my son wants to use a fork but he is just not ready for the metal kind that could poke an eye out! It is surprisingly hard to find a fork that's useable and baby safe. I was surprised how well the fork can pick up food. I ordered it thinking it'll probably be like getting two spoons instead of a fork and spoon, but I was wrong. I like how they both bend and my son loves using them! I would order them again!

These were cool for starting out and helping a baby hit their mouth. Very tiny so I would only recommend for babies just starting with utensils, but I do thing the bending did help my little one.

Ability to bend the spoon makes it so much easier for my little guy to feed himself. Love these!
