It was somewhat ground, but not completely. We have used this brand before for our dogs- yes, they are litter box trained, but used - I guess it is the "saw dust" texture and we were very happy with it. Very disappointed that this didn't work for us. If you are able to receive the saw dust texture, it is wonderful. It has a fresh pine smell and does not smell over the course of the week as long as the litter pan it is emptied everyday. They are not. The actual box sold here is 9Lbs - not sure why the seller lists it as 9.9Lbs, because all other info on their listing (UPC code, etc...) is accurate.Here's the background: The independent, Florida-based Feline Pine brand was recently acquired by a large, New Jersey based manufacturer (maker of Arm & Hammer cat litter, and numerous other household brands).
