We did decide that smaller loads and temp on medium would insure longer life for hearing element. I have 5 family members including myself to launder for including household items, clothes, bedding, etc. So yes I use my washer and dryer quite frequently. Low heat settings and smaller loads may make your laundering time increase but it will save your heating element this save you money in the long run.******UPDATE********So we purchased March 2021 it's September 2022 and it's burnt out. I was using medium heat and doing laundry regularly twice a week for 5 people. Twice a month I'd wash bed sheets and I have couch and chair covers. This didn't last as long as I expected. So install for us was a bit difficult. At first I thought it was great but we kept getting a HE error code. Which you guessed it was for the heating coil. Even on a low heat setting it was TOO HOT! Like super hot to the touch. So my husband took it apart again and found that the coil was grounded.
