Review: Easy to install and efficient - These filters are great! I just installed my second one. There was nothing wrong with the first one, bit the plumbing has to be replaced after 5 years. Mine was pushing 6 years and I didn't want to risk broken lines. Installing it is really easy and takes about an hour depending on space and if you have basic plumbing skills. Filter replacement takes 5 minutes.
Review: I wish I hadn’t waited so long to make the change from spring water delivery to this filter. - After more than twenty years of having 5 gallon bottles of spring water delivered, the water started to have a strange taste/odor, so I canceled my delivery service and started looking for alternatives and the New York Times Wirecutter review recommended this one for removal of chlorine, plastics, and metals at a low price. Installation was straightforward (although I wish the lettered parts were included in the numbered diagram) and immediately after the recommended 10 minute flush out period my tap water, which is not horrible but has a chlorine taste, tasted great. I plan to fill a 3 gallon glass water cooler bottle with this filtered water to use with my existing cooler so I always have cold and hot water available as usual. My yearly cost for drinking water will be reduced by about 70% once I factor in the cost of replacing the filters every six months. Highly recommend!

**Q: how often do you need to change the filters?**
A: I use a 6 month subscription

**Q: Need wrench for ao-us-200 filter housing. where do i look?**
A: According to my husband who did the installation, he just twisted the old filters off with his hands and twisted the new ones on the same way.  No wrench was used.

**Q: Filters are Stage 1 and stage 2. Which color is which please,?**
A: Stage 1 will have the clear netting and Stage 2 has the blue netting.

These filters are great! I just installed my second one. There was nothing wrong with the first one, bit the plumbing has to be replaced after 5 years.
