I don't remember any major issues when installing those so I purchased another set to finally get the rear speakers replaced. the inner mounting tabs are made to be easily removed to fit the speaker, but I did have to cut off a few of the outer mounting tabs that are supposed to be screwed down to the door. There's enough forming on the door panel that it wouldn't sit flush without at least one of the upper tabs removed and the lower, center tab removed. Another issue is that the clocking of the mounting holes for the speaker makes it so the speaker is rotated about 45° in when installed. Based on the shape of the cutout in the door, the electrical connections end up extremely close to the metal door panel. I had to bend the connections up and away from their default position and then added electrical tape to the door panel to make sure the speakers don't end up grounding out.
