A: 4.6" is the minimum for the Dairyman basket.  We do have the bessie basket that will work on all racks.

**Q: is the bottom mount removeable if I prefer to bolt it on?**
A: If that's what you're thinking, don't spend the money on this, just get a basket. 
The mechanism that holds this to the rack, is brilliant.

A: 7" tall
