I personally don't like using my trucks axles to pry out the bearings so I wanted something that I could use regularly to do this without damaging the bearings. The two balls on the end retract when you push the button at the top, allowing you to push it through the bearing, release the button and easily pull the bearing out, if you have spacers like me, you can use this tool just like your truck axels, insert it into the bearing, and use it as a lever to pry the bearing out. it fits so well into the center of the bearing that this causes no damage whatsoever. and it works just as well to push them back in. I nearly had to break my bearings before to get them out of any wheel with an aluminum hub. This sucker pulls them right out. And I don't need a giant bearing press to do it!
