I would recommend this to everyone. Review: Quality Sliding T Bevel - I purchased this 10" sliding T bevel because I was unhappy with the one I already had. This one is much more to my liking. With it's aluminum handle and stainless steel blade it is both light and sturdy. The one I already had was sturdy, but I didn't like how heavy it felt. The feature I love on this one, and that sets it head and shoulders above my old one is the locking mechanism. On my old one it was a knurled knob located at the top of the handle near the blade. I just didn't like the knob. I never felt like I could really lock the blade down, and often times I would move the blade when trying to lock it in place. It sucked, but with this one both of those issues are eliminated. The locking mechanism is on the bottom away from the blade. It's more comfortable, and I have no problems locking the blade in place. This product is great, and the seller provided great customer service when my first one was damaged by the carrier. Never felt like I could tighten the knob enough and I had to be very careful not to bump the gauge lest the blade move. With just moderate torque the Shinwa's blade holds quite firm. Using a modest amount of pressure I tried to move the blade after tightening and could not. It's also quite nice being able to tighten the blade from either side of the tool.
