Is just what is needed for recovery from shoulder surgery. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars terrible torture devise *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2018* First you have surgery and they say not to move your arm/shoulder so that is not a very comfortable place in which to be. The day after I started wearing the sling, I started to itch anyplace which touched the sling...my arm, my shoulder, my back. Doctor had never heard of this happening so just told me to take benadryill.I'm not sure who this product was make to designed to fit, but it was certainly not made for a moderate sized woman. No matter how I adjusted the sling, my elbow would not fit into the space made for it. The sling has many velcro straps and closures all designed to immobilize one's arm and shoulder. These are not just an average velcro, but a super heavy duty kind. When one tries to get ones arm in the sling, every time you let go of a section the velcro adheres to another section. Having just one hand that works it's really really hard to pull the velcro apart. Even when I had help, it was so frustrating that my spouse could not make it work either.I had to put a washcloth between the shoulder strap and my neck as a considerate amount to weight from the sling rests again the shoulder. (Not to mention the itching.) I had to put a piece of cloth inside the sling in order to be able to keep it on. (Again the itching) If one is sweaty at all the sling gets damp and does not dry.The pillow which holds the sling up has a velcro belt which goes around the waist. That belt collapsed after about a day of wear leaving the pillow sticking out at an awkward angle and needing to be carefully watched in order not to run to things.I don't think anyone who recommends this sling has worn it for more than a few minutes. If they had they would not be recommending it. It has so many shortcomings that it makes it almost impossible to use for any length of time. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Looks impressive, but not worth it *by F***T on Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2014* This thing was put on me when I had rotator cuff surgery. No instructions with it. I've been looking online for directions. So many damned Velcro adjusting things on it and all are F'ing uncomfortable. The tie-down for the exercise ball is in an ridiculous location. I want to be able to adjust the angle of my elbow but it's difficult. I'm sleeping in the recliner, which isn't bad, but when I take the sling off to do the PT exercises, hurts like hell.Insurance approved of this sling. Just goes to prove that insurance does NOT work for the good of the individual.
