Even with the two cartreage swap.. The printer still didn't want to take it.. So the recycle processes need a little more work.. Fun

    Do NOT buy this product

Do NOT buy this product. The other reviews that claim there are youtube videos and great printed help are not referring to this product. Look at the picture in the product and note that these are hypodermic needles and syringes...not a plastic needle head of some sort that you poke a hole in with a pin. This is NOT the JetTec product.I believe I followed the directions, but they are not written well and the explanatory pictures are impossible to see anything on.Step #1 Use the drill to push the ball on the refill hole into inside the cartridge. (That's their English, not mine). The little drill device is neither made to fit on the ball or made to push hard enough on the ball to break it through (and that is what you are doing....breaking it through). Plan on having semi-permanent dents in your fingers after this effort and you better have strong hands to begin with. I'm sure my wife would never be able to do this.Step # 2 Fill the syringe with ink. The cartridge will hold 20ml of ink. The high-capacity cartridge will hold 40ml of ink.So I had the high-capacity color cartridges (951xl). I don't believe they hold 40ml of ink. I put in 20. I think the 40ml is for the black 950xl cartridges. But who knows since there is nothing that explains what they are really referring to.Step # 3 Insert the needle into the filling hole and slowly inject the ink into the cartridge.Seems simple enough...accept the needles are really sharp (like hypodermic needles) and from the videos that I've seen there is something akin to a plastic sandwich back on the inside of the cartridge. I'm pretty sure that razor sharp needle would destroy that bag if it even glanced against the side so I tried not to go too deep into the cartridge...but of course their is nothing in the directions that says one way or another.Step # 4 Use the rubber plug to seal the refill holeThose little multicolored things in the picture are little rubber plugs. They seem to work pretty well to fill the hole, but I'm not convinced since the process of poking the ball out of the refill hole with that drill thingy is not a precision task by any means.Step #5 Reinstall the cartridge into the printer.Everywhere else I've read also tells you to use a different cartridge than the one that is currently in the printer (no problem for me, I have about 40 used cartridges flooding my desk shelf). Nothing about that major problem is in the directions. So I went to print with my newly refilled cartridges and the quality was awful. I tried cleaning the heads (all 3 cleaning levels) of my HP 8610 3 times which seemed to help, but then when I went to print the covers of my brochure, the quality was just awful. Awful. Awful. Awful. Granted, I'm trying to do picture quality printing, but my printer is supposed to be able to do picture quality printing. This seems to be a knock-off of an actual HP refill kit. Definitely not the same product most of the reviews refer to.The good news, I went and picked up some HP cartridges and after a short period of time my printer seems to be working just fine again. Not something I had any confidence in when I started having problems.
