Review: Nearly Invisible Protection - I have porcelain tile that has a fairly rough, matte finish and I was worried that sealing it would produce a surface with too much slip and too much gloss. My chief purpose in applying it was to seal grout that gets dirty too easily and is hard to clean. I contemplated just sealing the grout, but that would have been too painstaking. I will say that the finished product has slightly more gloss than I would have chosen, but I expect most people would judge the look to be better than it had been before sealing. I was hoping that after coating, the tile would give a first impression of stone as it did uncoated; but it looks much more like tile. Color variation is a little more pronounced (in a good way) and there is some gloss in bright light. Grip is just as good in bare feet and rubber soles, a little less so in socks. I was glad I chose to have the windows open during application, but it was the middle of winter when I applied it; and I closed the windows within an hour of when I was finished.
