Inside, outside and at no point have I ever felt unsafe. It’s probably the only ladder where I’ve stood on the top step without worrying I might fall. Very well constructed, many others manufactures have poor welding and are on the verge of breaking from new. Not these, they are slightly heavier than my other similar ladders, but that’s the excellent construction and safety features. It’s easy to open up and a satisfying clunk when you drop the top step. What are the correct measurements?** A: Closed Dimensions L x W x D (m) 2.04m x 0.52m x 0.19m **Q: are the handrails removable** A: They are screwed on so are removeable. However, as a good safety feature of these ladders I think they are better left on. I find the ladders very stable and the handrail is an excellent addition so I would not recommend removing it. They add very little bulk to the ladder in terms of transportation or storage. **Q: What is the depth of the steps please?** A: The tread depth is 230mm from tip to tip.
