However I don't think it's meant to run up to 8 cameras in one go, so I bought a second one to split the load. Will update in the near future about performance. Saying that, I still recommend it especially for it's price. DETAILED: I purchased this to replace the provided power supply which was failing. For the price I couldn't complain, everything works as it should. However after a few months, 2 of 4 cameras started failing so I bought another one, so I have 2 adapters each running 2 cameras. Whilst it seems like a good idea to have 8 barrel plugs on 1 adapter, I'm not sure if it will work as you'd expect. I've read somewhere it's something to do with each camera needing different amounts of power depending on cable length, what it's recording etc. I'm not an expert but this sounds plausible.
