I'm not sure how I made it without it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars It's OK for what it is. *by D***B on Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2013* You can spend a lot more money and buy a readout with more features, and hopefully more accuracy, but this is just fine for my hobby machine.I installed it on my milling machine. The brackets that came with the scales are more or less useless. I guess if you have a milling machine in the first place, you are qualified to design and make your own mounting system. Which I did.I find that the accuracy is a bit lacking. I make a part with dozens of holes along an 18" bar. Going from one end of the X axis to the other puts the readout a few thousandths out of whack. Going back to the origin puts it back on zero though. Moral of the story is you will still be using the feed dials after getting it in the neighborhood with the digital readout. All in all, it does make the operation easier and faster and I'm glad I bought it.Would I recommend it to a friend? Sure, if this is what he needs. My complaint is that it cannot be used along side cutting fluid.
