This one looked pretty solid from the photos and after tallying up the cost in parts alone for making one myself, it just made sense to buy this one. Been using it with a H/F 220 multi-process MIG/TIG/Stick welder (only doing MIG at the moment), and the cord is working just fine. The end plugs are solid & seem to be sturdy, and the girth on this cord is quite a bit thicker than the cord that the welder came with, which would be appropriate given that it's quite a bit longer. I am too old, fat, and lazy to take the truck off the jack stands, move it closer, jack it up again, etc. I just left the thing where it was and ordered this extension. When it showed up I plugged it in and went to town. I can't imagine needing a longer one. I was so excited to get a welder and just brought projects to it. That works until the project is big then you have to move the project around so the welder can reach. This cord works great. Doesn't heat up at all. Don't know about durability, because I have only been using it a week. Construction seems pretty rugged though. This is a must have accessory for a garage welder.
