I have only used it so far for zucchini and it is working well with that. It took a little bit of getting used to at first to get the spirals to come out in long strands. My daughter, a vegetarian, liked the idea so well, that I went a head and ordered one for her. She loves it, she is trying out the recipes from the book and has made 2 so far and is very happy with them. I am not really sure if it works better than ones available at a lower cost, hopefully it is although I have no way to know and now seeing other companies reducing their prices closer to $10.
