That is a potential problem because the product is so crumbly. It is very small and the attachment did not go far enough to attach to the side of my bird cage. It was crumbly as I was try to attach it. My bird went right to it and was using it immediately. It did not take very long for it to crumble into the bottom of the cage. The price was very low so I got my kidneys worth. Overall the bird got to use it and that was the point. If you need a product for a quick fix and your in a pinch this is the product to get.
