We are spoilt in Britain - if a live radio session is released we know it will be good, particularly if it is BBC. However, there have recently been a lot of American radio sessions released that have a very poor sound quality. I know that The Clash are supposed to sound raw, but if I could travel back in time to 1979 just to see them live, I wouldn't cover my ears with mufflers and ask the people nearest to me to talk at the tops of their voices.Anyway, rant over, this U2 set sounds really good. In my opinion their first three albums were easily their best and these live discs are from that era so every song is excellent. And they were, of course, brilliant live. The first 2 albums,both of which feature well here, were,for me,their best. Then came war and nothing was ever the same again.For the price,this really is great stuff,buy it and listen to what U2 sounded like before they sold out.
