We read a little each day and I've heard my daughter retelling the stories to her dolls and stuff animals. This story was such a magical story about a little girl, Sylvia, who was about to celebrate her 7 year birthday. This story is a way to gently teach your child about empathy, helpfulness, kindness, trust, ext. Things that are really no longer taught in a common core classroom. I have 2 sons and they liked the book, even though it seems to be geared more to girls. Imps, sister in the bush, were all favorite characters.
