We'll often find her floating around while we're inside even. That said, our dog floats get a lot of use. We've bought some in the past that have a kind of canvas-y feeling. This one doesn't. Because of this, we purchased this Pawchie float so he would have his own and would hopefully not destroy it. After opening it from the package (right away as I was so excited), I blew it up and it was luckily a very easy process. I was worried that it would be hard to air up like some floats, but this one was quick and easy as it is a singular point to air up.The material feels sturdy and I let my dog get on it before putting it into the water- no issues with his nails (WOO!).Unfortunately, my 50 lb pup seemed to be a bit too heavy for this. I think if your dog was 30lbs or less this would be fantastic, but for a 50lb dog... it seemed to take on water pretty quickly and then my dog couldn't lay down because it started to fold taco style.I gave this float three stars because it didn't work for my dog, but it could be a really fun pool addition for a smaller dog.
