I just received this set in the mail today and I am pleasantly surprised. At $1.10 a brush, my expectations were guarded. First, the brushes are made of incredibly soft synthetic fibers. Love the feel right off the bat. I examined each brush and tugged on the bristles to check for shedding. There was ZERO. The handle is a nice matte black with a gun metal (ish) ferel. The brushes are also all numbered which is great. I’ve used the set once to apply a full face of makeup. They blended powder products beautifully (I don’t use creams and use a BB for foundation). Just for the sake of it, I washed the eye shadow brushes I used with my Real Techniques brush cleanser. They were like new when I was done and there was still NO SHEDDING. If you’re like me (someone that loves makeup but doesn’t plan on doing it professionally) BUY THIS SET. It has everything you need for face, eyes, and even lips at a ridiculously fair price. Even the brush roll they come in is great quality considering the price, and it keeps everything organized and protected. (Pictured below is the set after I had used the brushes. You can still see bronzer and blush on two of the brushes I chose not to wash) ### ⭐ Junk *by M***N on September 18, 2018* As with anything from amazon, there’s a distinctly weird odor. They don’t pick up pigment to save their lives, either. I’ve washed with bare minerals conditioning brush wash, still, they are terrible. I've kept my old brushes for years and just kept adding on, but I decided to splurge on this set and I just tossed everything I had. Best decision. The brushes are soft, synthetic, but regardless it does what I want. I love the handles. The black matte is so chic and the color of the metal bothered me at first, it's like not a dark silver, which is what I thought it looked like in the photo, it's more like a brown? No idea. But that doesn't matter to me anymore since all my brushes match. It's the best feeling every morning getting ready and using them.
