AC-424 Executive USB Conferencing Mic with Mute Button

This works perfect for what I was looking for, It's great for live streaming, I usually have a few people doing group live streams so wanted something that could pick everyone up, also it's a little cheesy when Youtubers livestream with a big mic in their face...lolI did have a little trouble at first with not having audio, but all you gotta do after plugging it in in switch your computer to using audio from your old source, mic still works after switching that.

For desktop microphones the MXL AC-424 is about the best. It beats the 3.5mm stand mics in so many ways (frequency range, noise reduction, pickup pattern, pickup distance, etc.). It especially shines in its pickup range (25 ft.). Like the AC404 (a less expensive model) it has a three-capsule array that gives a 180` pickup pattern. It differs from the AC-404 in that it has a lit mute button (which is very hand in any conference). They both support a headphone jack. Buy the AC-404 to save money, buy the AC-424 for the top-of-the-line.

Needed this in order to stop having to push my laptop into the middle of the table when doing conference calls using my Google Voice account. Instead, I put this mic in the middle of the table. It serves its purpose but its not as good as the mic in a Mac Book Pro. In a few tests the MXL picks up room reverb and is not as sensitive as the Mac Book mic. But, while I'm disappointed the quality of the sound has diminished in switching to this usb mic, at least I can have my laptop right in front of me.

Fit my need to a "T". The only thing I had trouble with was knowing when the mute button was pressed. The color of the button is not bright enough for me.

An excellent device! I purchased this to work as a teleconferencing device to use with Skype for Business, but we have also tried using it as a standard microphone to amplify voices in a crowded board room.It has great sensitivity, fabulously portable, and only requires a USB input. I was using a 6m USB extension, and the device still functions normally.

I use this to remove the need to wear a headset / sit near a mic in my room when on a chat server. room is 9'x22' and usually very noisy, but the mic seems to pick up my voice fairly well wherever I am.

I use it with skype. Other people can hear an echo.Update: ... the hardware mute button lights up, but doesn't actually mute .....
