I'm not disappointed for the price but these aren't even amateur quality tools.As for the long version let's delve in. I bought this kit as a "Just for now" kit of some basic tools to work on the family bikes this summer. I know full well what a good set of tools such as Park Tools or Pedro's tools runs so I could tell going in that this was not going to be of that quality; all the same when you need a tool and have a tight budget you take what you can get. Before I go on I do want to say that the seller is in no way at fault for these cheap tools, the package came complete, on time and as promised.It's been over a month now and I've torn down (almost completely) about a dozen bikes. In addition I served as a volunteer mechanic at a local children's bike rodeo for an afternoon doing basic adjustments, repairs and safety checks all with only this kit. I'm an experienced bicycle mechanic so this is not a case of failure to use the tools properly.First off the good, these tools under perfect circumstance would be great for a weekend warrior, a parent tuning up their kids big box bike or just a starter set for someone new to cycling. The Spoke Wrench is actually well made and comfortable to work with which was a surprise given the cost of the set. I'm also really pleased with the Chain Tool which for it's basic design is comfortable to use which is rare for these cheap sets. The Hex Wreches or Allen Keys, depending on your region, have yet to strip a bolt or round off on me which is shocking to be honest. The Cotterless Crank Tool or Crank Puller as it's often called also has worked a treat and left me with no complaints. Here ends the list of good finds.The bad news here is that these tools are mostly made out of that super cheap metal that is being pumped out of asian countries now days. These tools broke, warped and dinged over the course of the last month (see photos) and has left me needing to look for another set; for which I'll plunk down the bigger bucks to buy better brand name tools. For example the Lock Ring Tool just sheared off leading to expletives, bruised and bleeding knuckles and the inability to complete the task. The Headset Wrench performed fine for working on a newer bike that just needed an adjustment but the moment I had to apply any pressure to try and remove the lock nut from an older bike that had a little dirt and rust the metal dinged and the wrench warped. Speaking of wrenches warping I am very disappointed in the Pedal Remover (Wrench) as it tool dinged and turned into a hand smashing, bloody knuckle making bolt stripper. This is a problem as you're pretty much only ever going to see pedals that have had no anti seize, were over tightened in the first place and have been beaten and rusted in place while working on bikes so this tools MUST be made well. Finally let's talk about the Freewheel Remover and how I now have a pile of wheels from different manufacturers, makes and models that it's just too big to fit. Based on how slightly oversized the tool is I can only assume it's a quality assurance failure but unless I take the time to grind or file it down it's just a decorative paperweight, totally useless for removing anything bicycle related. As for the Cone Wrenches I don't see them holding up to a stubborn cone or axel removal.The rest of the tools in this set are equally pedestrian but they seem to about what one would expect for the price. To reiterate if you're just looking for something to assemble and tune that X-Mas big box store bike then this will do the job nicely. If you are looking to tune up an older bike from a garage sale or thrift store then you might want to pass on these and invest in some Park Tools brand gear because this kit can't hold up to even moderate resistance. Three stars because the price is right for what is on offer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad for the $$ *by T***O on July 24, 2017* Ok so it has everything you need. Is it high quality? Well, it's adequate. I am a diy'er and thought it might be better not to go over the top $$ wise getting set up at home to work on my bike(s). I think this will do fine when/if i grow out of it. Read reviews before buying and mostly agree w what i read. Some raved, some trashed but i think its somewhere in between. Comes in a bulletproof case and will get any diy'er farther along than not having any of the special tools necessary to tweak the bike. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome kit!
