I have both this and the 20 amp hybrid micro dark terror and the dark terror sounds much better. 7 W setting helps for home practice.Tons of gain as it’s designed for and sounds best for metal with shape at 12-2 o’clock and gain from 1-3 o’clock IMO. Also when used with an OD pedal it tightens up the tone a bit but not required. The beast is pretty noisy so I recommend using a noise gate in the preamp chain as well.Running it through my 2x12 120W orange PPC w/ 60 W Celestion V30s. Not a lot of power, headroom, and no EQ controls. This thing has no issues tearing up any space I've gone.I bought it for studio use and and in love with the flexibility it offers. You can create a beautiful clean rich tone or nasty BM tones no problem. I actually prefer the tone knob to an on amp EQ since I use so many EQ options in my chain.
