Keep in mind for babies that the silicone tail is detachable ### ⭐⭐⭐ I think that is why those hexgon bowls work better. Also *by E***3 on Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2015* It basically swims in a straight line. If you have a round bowl, it will just hug the bowl going in circles. It claims it can change direction, but that's not true. If it runs into something that gives it a 50/50 chance of going another direction, then sure. I think that is why those hexgon bowls work better. Also, from videos, if you have multiple fish and they run into each other, they may change direction. However they may also stick to eachother's magnets. The speed of the tail will vary. When it speeds up the fish will try to dive. However, you have to ensure there are no air bubbles keeping the fish too buoyant. I was able to get it to dive a couple times but after that it would just barely go down. On one occasion it froze up in the on position and wouldn't turn off. I had to pull the battery and reinsert it to reset it.Overall, it is a decent toy. If you have a hexagon bowl and more than one fish it may be more fun. I bought a fish and a nanobug for my 3.5yr old niece. The fish held her interest for maybe 5min.
