If you can find a pad that fits over the handle it may be helpful with holding on to the cane if walking for a long time. The weight feels significantly lighter than my other folding cane and the handle is comfortable.The hard plastic band intended to keep the folded cane closed challenged my minimal mechanical ability. Do I cut it off and substitute a hair band? WHAAAAT??? Finally, I posted the question on Amazon and almost immediately the Seller replied pointing me to a video even I could understand. The cane needs to be folded in the middle first so that handle and tipare in same direction. After folding again, the plastic piece can be removed and replaced by squeezing it together. Also, the bulge in the band must go over the wider area.I am very happy with my purchase.
