Perfect gate hinge if you need to be able to adjust spacing on hinge side!
These hinges are great. My old hinges were 10+ years old and had worn enough that gate was banging into the post every time you opened or closed it, especially when it was hot outside. I have metal gate with metal posts and metal fencing so when it was hot outside everything expanded slightly and allowed gate to hit post. These were perfect since you can adjust the space at hinge side to allow proper centering of the gate. Most of these type hinges have a wrap around design on your post that does not allow you to adjust the space on hinge side.

High quality heavy duty hinges
These are great hinges. We have them on our upper floor elevator gates at our home. They close the door quickly so that it latches safely. Would purchase again in a heartbeat.

Good gate latch
Added them to a community pool gate. Easy to install and add tension. Has last 8 months now, and still closes with the same force I set it for.

So Far So Good
The hinges work fine but it is too soon (right after purchase) to really evaluate a hinge. We replaced previously installed (approx 15 years ago) gate hinges (same brand and type) with these hinges because one of the prior hinges broke. So they do not last forever. Might be better in metal than heavy duty plastic. But nothing lasts forever.

Outstanding fence hinge.
These hinges are well made! They are sturdy and allow for easy installtion. The tension adjustment is very easyto use. There are beauty caps that go over the screws on the hinges that went on easily and look very nice. Excellent installtion intructions also!
