I tried neem oil, agricultural oil, insecticidal soap and none of these got rid of the scale. This did the trick! The interesting this is that this product is not rated for scale but it is rated for white fly. It had no odor and was easy to wash off. Food crops sprayed with this are still certified organic. Effective application of this or any similar product must only be used with the understanding of the targeted insects and whether its use will actually help or create more harm. I had a house plant that somehow acquired these pesky little critters ( I suspect a garden plant I brought home to put in my garden that set next to it for a while). I took the house plant out and sprayed it with water and that showed the webs so I sprayed it with water to remove as many as possible and waited for the insecticide to arrive. I mixed up a batch as per directions and applied it to the plant and followed up a few days later and have not seen any sign of the little critters since.
