It's also very durable and, so far, haven't found ANYthing that has stained it. We're a messy bunch, and our grandkids are way messier. Gravy, steak sauce, ketchup, mustard, fried chicken grease - these are a few I can think of that have landed on it - and were easily cleaned off it it! Grandson scribbled off the page (inkpen) onto it - came right off! I imagined the scallops would roll, or simply not drape properly after washing and drying--or fail to hold their neat shapes. Happily, I was very wrong!After washing and drying it looks perfect, drapes nicely, and stays clean remarkably well. Repelling a moderate amount of liquid is a function of its so-called "waterproof" feature (which it is not, really). That's what keeps it looking clean & fresh so long.Now it's a major plus for me (& my allergies!) that there was no odor to this tablecloth, not even right out of the wrapping. (Plastic-treated, chemical-treated fabrics can cause real problems for me.)The plum blossom pattern is quite pretty, more graceful than in the photo. The background color is soft, and depending upon one's own perception of color, it can look different at different times. To me, it looks either rather like pale teal (bluish) or mint (greenish) depending upon whether I'm seeing it by morning light or afternoon light. Interesting. I enjoy it. This table cloth is nice and if something is spilled on it, it doesn't seep through! BUT it's not one that you can just wipe up on - if something is not cleaned up immediately, it will need to be washed. I read the reviews and the description carefully and it really did seem like this was a vinyl table cloth that was wipe-able, but it's not.
