I did not buy this strap for that reason, I bought it for something pretty to wear when I go out. Much to my suprise it is very durable and just the right width for me to clean the house and wash my hands, etc. I don't have to take the watch off each time my hands get wet, this is thin enough that I can just dry underneath it. I love it.
