Eventually I got it started and it worked. I realize these all are made in China. No parts are available in the U.S. So any problems take a while. We'd only dug six holes in river bottom dirt, no rocks, no abuse on the machine. OK, so stuff happens, spend a couple hours getting the spring put back in. Started it up, great. Turned it off. Tried to start it again, same thing, recoil spring popped off and wouldn't start. Really wanted to love this machine and did for the first few holes, but it's no good if it falls apart the 2nd time you go to use it. Very very frustrated cause now I have to go through all the hassle of trying to get a refund.
