We placed it in the basement so I could keep some food down there esp for my cats as well I was thinking for summer or whenever my father is down working in his shop.It kept the food cold. Has a little freezer which came w/ ice cube tray. Even the drinks on the door were cold.When it did kick on, you could hear some noise so I wouldn't be too impressed to have it in the same room with me.
