They fit snug but not tight and breathe very well. I play 3 or 4 hour shows about 50 times a year and I can say after a few months that I'll never play without them again.I use wood sticks with stick wrap and have only almost killed the guitarist once in several months with a dropped stick. I swear it was an "accident" and had nothing to do with that tempo comment a few years ago.They are holding up well and even if they wear out after a bit it's still money well spent. They also help keep fingerprints off the drums and cymbals during load in/out.I would highly recommend these but don't expect that they'll last several years. They need to be thin to maintain feel and response so yes, they will need replacing eventually. If you want to play using waist gunner gloves from a B-17 crew, go nuts but I'll pass on playing guitar in your band for now... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars helps your playing *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2021* felt a little silly getting them first time because i'm not a big banger metal drummer, but i wanted it to help me not drop sticks - got tired of buying rubber dipped sticks & they tear up fast. It worked. Also helped with endurance - no more blisters AND no more cymbal edge between thumbnail & thumb when choking a cymbal crash. This is my 3rd set in about 5+ years, so for me, they lasted ~ 2 years before wearing a hole in them. before i ordered this time someone said they smelled (like stank) when new. i thought it might be an oddball comment since i never had that experience before.
