I bought this to connect the right angle side of the cable to the television to prevent the cables "sticking out" of the side and to connect it to a rear mounted (VESA)HTPC. However, on most side mount HDMI TVs the long flat side of the HDMI port is toward the back of the set. This means that the connector is reversed from what is needed for this use. If you are going from a cable box to a TV where the cable box is below the TV then everything is upside-down and won't fit no matter what. There's no way to swap around. The angle won't fit in the TV so it has to be on the cable box.
