The biggest issue is this does not work without being plugged in. It comes with a very short cord so it makes using it any other place besides next to an outlet impossible. I love how thin and lightweight it is. It does need to be plugged in to use it but it can be plugged into a portable phone charger. I also like that it has 3 levels of brightnessAdded 10/2019. Its several months old now. It’s gotten lots of use many times every week. And now it seems to have a problem turning on. I’m going to have to get a new one. A couple things to consider....the on/off button sits right where my arm brushes it and it turns off super easy. The cord is short so I am limited in how I can position it. Thirdly, the quality is just so so, there are a couple of areas where the shadow surface is not clean. The black area where the LED light is under gets pretty hot to the touch.
