Best Vac I’ve owned! More bang for your bucks!
I can’t say enough good about this robo vac. I’ve been using it for several weeks now and it has been almost flawless in its daily duties. Pros: It has great suction power. We have three dogs including a mini Aussie who sheds daily. We used to have dust bunnies in every corner but now there are none to be found. It picks up everything. We have tile floors with area rugs. It works perfectly from tile to carpet. Once it’s on carpet it kicks up the power and deep cleans. It doesn’t care if the carpet is thin or thick. It has never been stuck by a carpet. The vac has an extremely long battery life. My house is about 2100 sq ft. It cleans the entire house and still has about 40% battery when it’s done on regular cleaning power. On deep cleaning it gets down to about 20%. Maintenance is easy on this unit. You can’t mess it up because the app tells you when and what to do. It doesn’t run in to things. It’s radar slows the vac down so it doesn’t bump. It’s not perfect and cannon occasion bump if it is spinning around but other wise it’s always soft around furniture. The cleaning pattern on this unit is very smart. It goes back and forth in a logical motion to cover the most area in the least time. It even goes back and cleans edges on the entire house before finishing. Cons: There are very few cons on this unit. It has a mopping function but we can’t use it because of then area rugs. If I had one complaint it would be the ability to tell it not to go on carpet with the mop installed. This may be available on upper models but it’s not on this unit. Every once in a while it gets stuck in the chair legs. It has only happened a couple of times. I just adjusted the chairs so it wouldn’t have that issue again. Overall I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The fact I bought it in Prime day only made this even better! This unit has abilities of more expensive units. You can’t go wrong with it!

Almost Perfect
First impressions I was instantly sold. I live with two dogs and a few 20 somethings its not a full blown pigsty but it could definitely be cleaner. Upon getting the device I ran it charged it ran it 5 times after doing a quick initial vacuum with a dyson animal. each time it came back with a full dust bin, so i was immediately sold on the vacuum. The good: GREAT suction GREAT navigation GREAT obsticle avoidance (ran over 20 times and has not gotten stuck and always makes it home) low profile GREAT battery Large dust bin effective roller that does a good job of not getting all wrapped in hair Nice that dustbin is ontop so you can remove flap cover and see how full it is without having to handle it. Easy alexa integration The Bad: I am concerned that the roller does not have enough torque. I have standard carpeting in my house and when I lift the door flap for the dust bin I can see that the roller sometimes is not spinning. Testing the device on hard wood floors shows that the roller spins constantly and that this is NOT INTENDED BEHAVIOR. After ten or so runs I decided to clean the filter. Following the directions I emptied the dust bin and filled it with water and shook it around. After letting the bin dry for TWO DAYS, and putting it back in the robot it vacuums but says error ten make sure filter is clean and dry and lowers the suction as to not burn up the motor. The Alexa integration treats it as a switch. Therefore the only available actions are start and stop (on and off). It would be nice to have additional functions that are present in the app, such as set suctions speed, locate the vacuum, turn on mop mode. With the last being my personal wish because I would love to just pop on the mop rag and tell it to mop instead I need to get my phone, open the app, deny the permissions that it asks for EVERYTIME you use the app, and set it to mop mode, not a deal breaker but I bought a robot to maximize my laziness and save time. The app currently does not support invisible walls for the e35

Good Product at a Great Value with a Lousy (and Unnecessary) App
UPDATED REVIEW: After a miserable time trying to get the app to work, I gave up and instead operated the vacuum manually and had a great experience: 1) The vac does a very good job of picking up hair and debris. My wife and I were shocked at how much debris we emptied from the vacuum. 2) the vac methodically attacks each room as it vacuums row by row as opposed to bouncing around randomly as many other vacs. This may not sound like a big deal but this make the vacuum very efficient as it can clean a room much quicker than a lesser-equipped models that bops around and around until every square inch is covered. 3) the price for this vac with the mapping feature described above is a good value. As I was considering my purchase, I felt a lot more comfortable spending $280 on a vac than spending closer to $500 on a similar feature product. In other words, I was okay about making a $280 bet than a $500 bet on a robot vac. Make no mistake: the app sucks. I don't understand why the manufacturer would want to tie its very good product to software that is so decidedly "not ready for prime time." However, as I said above, you don't need the app, it works great manually. All you need to do is put it in a room and align it so it goes back and forth matching the configuration of the room. It will vac that room and move to the next room (automatically avoiding stairs) and doing a good job of jumping up onto area rugs. One of the cool things is that after you set it down in a room and press the on switch, it literally will vac all the rooms on that floor of the house and then automatically, on its own, return to the charging station. It's actually kind of fun--just ignore the stupid app. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I couldn't even get the product set up. The app to install the product covers dozens of products and one would think that all that was necessary to click on the product that you bought. The pictures don't match what I bought and there are no matching product numbers either. The set up instructions were likely originally written in Chinese by a person very familiar with the product line but the English translation and ease of set up is guaranteed to have you swearing like a sailor within minutes. I'm sending this back and buying something that is more fully baked and better thought out. What a disappointment but if the user can't get it working what good is the product??? Good luck!

Excellent product and great price
First I have to say, this is the first robot vacuum I ever had, so I can't compare with others, but I've been living in a friends house with the iRobot vacuum (Roomba) and tried to compare them. The roborock is really cheap compare to the roomba. And one of the greatest advantages is that it includes de mop, all in one! so you don't have and extra equipment in the middle of the living room. You can leave it working while you are out with the app, or connect it to Alexa or google home. I'll talk about the vacuum, the mop and my animals dealing with it. VACUUM As its cheap, it does not have the map thing, don't know how to call it, but it doesn't scan your house and remember the areas. But, so far it cleans the entire house every time with no problem at all. I live in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, all in one floor and the vacuum is in the living room which is in the middle ,so it goes around the kitchen, dining room, then gets in one bedroom and its bathroom and walk in closet, then moves back to the living room and to the other side of the house with the same rooms (bed, bath, closet). I'm impressed about that!! And, even though it doesn't remember the map, it does create a map in the moment, so you can be sure that every part of the house was cleaned. Last, it easily climbs to the carpets and keep cleaning. MOP Its not the best! to be honest, I wasn't expecting any miracle. While it vacuums it has the mop on the back and it only drops some water and gently pass the mop... it works if you just want to clean and leave it nice. But it you have something difficult to clean, just use a regular mop, this one does not scrub if you know what I mean. But it works and you can put some floor cleaner with the water or bleach if you want. Something to take into account, if you have carpet you can't use the mop, but you can create imaginary walls if the carpet is in the living room only for example. To be honest I haven't try that because I have the carpet in the bedrooms only so I just close the door. ANIMALS: I have two wiener dogs, the male is afraid of regular vacuums, the female wants to kill the regular vacuum. But with this one (I guess because is so silent...) they don't even care!! That was one of the reasons I never had one, I was sure my dogs wouldn't let the robot clean. Well, they really don't care, the vacuum past by them and they just look at it!

Humpty Dumpty
On the whole, this robo-vac is decent. I purchased this on Prime Day, so got a sizable chunk off the regular price, which is the real reason I picked on up at all. I've done countless hours of research for robo-vacs, but never pulled the trigger on one due to each of them have some shortfall. The reason I did finally go with this roborock is due to discount, figuring 'what's the worst that could happen'. I had intended for this vacuum to live on our second floor, as the first floor has a few steep transitions and steps. It has never once completed the full second floor, even with a charge in the middle. It seems to like to give up on the master bedroom, about halfway into the room, and then returns to the dock. It also loves... ahem... getting all up on my furniture. We have a few chairs that have spoked metal legs, the robot absolutely loves mounting them and getting stuck. It also will randomly get stuck on carpet for no discernable reason other than because it has no will to go on. The 2nd floor is mixed surface, with carpet, wood, and tile, so having the mop attached is a bit tedious as you need to isolate the vac via doors as opposed to virtual boundaries - this vacuum has no virtual boundaries though it has a map and the mop attachment even mentions 'virtual boundaries' on the label. The only option is to put magnetic tape down... oh how LOVELY. I can't wait to decorate my house with magnetic tape /s. Moving the robot downstairs (all hard surface) it does a pretty good job. There's a very tall transition between the hardwood to tile in the kitchen (at least an inch) and the xiaomi gets over that hump no issue. That said, he's taking a fancy to falling down the stairs between the kitchen and the next room. I've tried cleaning the sensors off, but he still says 'nah i got this fam' and goes headfirst down the stairs. The app is ok. Setup was fine, connection was established without any issue, and scheduling the cleaning is easy enough. I rarely get notifications that the robot is starting, finished, or stuck. I usually find out because its not at the dock and have to go find it. There have been several occasions where it decides it has no idea where the dock is, and just stops in the middle of a room. It can also spend 30 minutes looking for its dock, and then gives up. It's ability to avoid obstacles is less than ideal, as its 'gentle nudge' is often a massive wack and leads to the robot damaging itself. I've only had it a few weeks and its already covered in white paint marks from ramming into trim and cabinets. As i type, its attempting to roll over my foot. The good... When it does work, it works pretty well. The suction on the vac is good enough for carpet, and works well on hardwood. The mop attachment is lovely, and does do a good job of cleaning up LIGHT grime from the floor. It will not ever replace a handheld mop and elbow grease for stuck on material. Its nice to be able to let it run around the first floor vaccing and mopping without much care, but thats only because we dont have any carpets to avoid. WHEN we have carpets along the first floor, this will become a huge negative as, again, the only way to stop it from going to certain areas is with magnetic tape. The dustbin is large enough to last several cleanings, and the mop pads are easy enough to clean/attach. Would I buy it again? No. Would I upgrade to a $600 model in hopes that all these issues are solved? No. I was hopeful that robo-vacs from today would solve some of the idiosyncrasies of the past, but it is clear that we still have some ways to go. Who should buy this? If you have a simple floor plan, no obstacles to avoid, no pets, no toys on the ground, and nothing for the robot to fall off of - this will work fine for you. If you have a larger home, multiple transitions, multiple floors, multiple surface types it may be a bit more of a nuisance than it's worth.

Roborock E35 is Great!
We have two dogs (shepherd husky mix / shepherd collie mix) and two cats (both shed a ton). We are getting ready to move to FL and needed a vacuum cleaner since the movers packed and transported our Dyson. With so much to do around the house to get it ready to sell, we didn’t want to spend time vacuuming every day. I want to purchase the S6 when it finally comes out, but before I spend that kind of money on a robovac, I wanted something affordable. At the time of our purchase, there were only 6 reviews on Amazon, and a great video on YouTube’s Vacuum Wars, about this product. After hours of research, I jumped right in. Before I list the pros and cons, let me say that we hire a cleaning crew to come once every two weeks. After a couple runs, I question how badly we really need that crew (to clean the floors that is). Pros: 1. This vacuum cleans efficiently. It will map your rooms and clean them entirely. Then, it will do all of the perimeters before completing. 2. Integration with Alexa was easy. 3. Mop mode actually works fairly well. 4. Gets most of the hair/dirt on each pass. I ran it three times in 12 hours. On each pass it found ‘something’ to clean, but the first go was impressive. 5. Easy to setup, easy to take apart - very intuitive design. 6. Battery life is great. 7. Always finds its way out of tight jams and returns to docking station without issue. 8. Voice prompts from the machine let you know what is going on. 9. Watching the vacuum map a new floor/room lets you know it is working as it should. 10. It avoids stairs! 11. It goes around the legs of chairs. Cons: 1. I had to run this twice on a rug floor in my basement, albeit the basement was dirty as heck. 2. I had to wet the mop pad fully to get a really good clean. Verdict: I couldn’t be happier with my first robotic vacuum purchase. I can’t believe I waited this long to get one, but I am glad that the RoboRock was what I ended up with. If you haven’t watched the vacuum wars review on YouTube, I recommend that you do. Happy cleaning, and I hope this review points you in the right direction.

Great product, exceeded expectations.
This is my 3rd robotic vacuum, my previous ones were Neatos, most recently a D80 (granted about a 3 year old model now). I was a little concerned with the central brush/intake vs the one on the Neato that covers the whole front of the unit. Turns out that this was not an issue at all, picks up better than the Neato, battery lasts longer and the mapping and ability to make it back to the charger is much better. A couple obvious issues-the Neato would always pick up strands from carpets or shoelaces and bind up the brush, causing it to stop. The Robrock is far less bothered by this, I suspect in part from the central intake. The brushes look similar, but for some reason this one is far less likely to get lint, string, etc wound up around it. The biggest plus is the opening between the brush "chamber" and the dust bin. The Neato one is small and plugs up constantly. I couldn't run it without being at home to clean it very frequently. This one I only recall plugging once or twice when a piece of cardboard or bark plugged it. We have 4 dogs (including 2 shepherds) and about 10 cats (don't judge me) at the moment. Oh, and a wood stove. So between the pet hair, the dirt they track in and the bark/dirt from the stove this thing gets a real workout. Had it a few months now and am very impressed. I run it daily, the dust bin is just about enough with this workout. I typically use the mopping feature on the weekends, when I can take the time to roll up the carpets. While it doesn't perform miracles, it does make a difference and frankly does better than I expected. It's ability to map the room and cover it effectively is at least as good as the Neato (which does have a laser). The app is nice-especially on the occasional holiday when I'm off on a weekday and it starts cleaning at 4:30. Nice to be tell it to go back to the dock without getting out of bed! Great product, strongly recommend.

All in all, I found a keeper, and so have you.
NOTE: If you'd like to skip the lengthy review, a list of pros and cons are at the bottom. Now, on with the review. First off, I had zero issue with connecting it to my home wifi. I included the steps I took in my comment section, as well as a link to an article and a YouTube video that should help. Ultimately I found the entire unpacking and connection experience to be pretty straight forward once I read the directions in the manual and played around with my bluetooth and wifi settings on my phone. I love how everything just works! I even tried running it briefly using the buttons on the top of the vacuum and it did a beautiful job. So to answer one question that was asked, yes it does work without being connected to wifi or using the app. Without wifi or the app, the E35 will clean and redock itself using standard suction only. You can also do a spot clean, by placing the bot vac in the area you want cleaned and pushing the spot clean button on top. Lastly there is a button with a picture of a plug on top. This is the recharge button and it allows you to stop the vacuum mid cleaning and have it return to the docking station. Wifi though? That's what really makes this vacuum pretty amazing. The benefit of wifi is beung able to use it with the app which allows you additional features. Those features include, changing the suction mode from standard to a slightly higher suction mode and then to the max suction mode. You can also set it ti detect when it's in hard floor versus carpet and auto adjust the suction accordingly. I can verify this works brilliantly. The app also allows you to set a cleaning schedule, and spot clean and it also allows you to see a map of what the vacuum has cleaned and how much more is left. Finally the app allows you to control the robot manually with two styles of remote onscreen. Also with the app, you are able to have the vacuum start when you are not at home. So yes while, wifi and the app are absolutely wonderful, and take the vacuum to a whole new level, you can still use it without wifi to perform standard cleanings of your whole place and you can expect it to restock itself afterwards. One other thing is while this vacuum does have mopping ability, you have to have the app to use that function. So about the mopping feature. I have not actually used the mopping feature yet but something to keep in mind is that it does not detect carpet so you will need to use magnetic strips or closed doors, etc. to block areas you dont want mopped as it can not differentiate between floor types when mopping. What does make this vacuum so wonderful is the way it cleans. It makes those wonderful, non chaotic line movements (S/U shape), which look so neat and orderly. It impresses me to watch it, to see it make movements that make sense. It's a relief, as a person with OCD tendencies at times lol. Something else I love about it is, if you do have home wifi, it is so easy to connect it and get it to stay connected to my home network. Once I set it up, and let it charge to 100%, which took about an hour and a half (maybe?), it was at around 22% out of the box, I used the app to start it's first full run of my apartment minus two of the bedrooms. One bedroom is storage and the floor is inexcessable and the other bedroom isn't set up yet so there was no point in letting it run in there. So with about 90% of my apartment being wood, laminate, and tile and just a few small rugs here and there, it took Reginald 88 minutes to clean approx 905 sq ft. It cleaned with the initial straight lined S shaped pattern then went around the edges and it looked wonderful afterwards. The most latest cleaning took it 95 minutes to vacuum 100 m2. That includes a living room, kitchen/dining area, a bathroom and two bedrooms and based on the map afterwards, and how clean my floor looks, it does a very thorough job. I have 3 cats and two litter boxes with thin rubberized plastic rugs with grooves in them to catch the litter and despite how thin they where, they did not get rolled up or sucked up in the vacuum even once. Reginald traversed around the edges of and even on to the tops of the bases of several pieces of cat furniture with ease. The one and only time it got stuck was underneath my dresser and frankly, I thought the dresser was too low for it to even go under there. When it did get stuck, I not only recieved a text message from Reginald, I heard it say it was stuck, albeit in a female's voice lol. I came and pulled it out from under the dresser, set it on the floor and hit the power button, as directed, and Reginald carried right on where he left off. I do not have any thresholds between rooms so Reginald rolled into each room without any issue. Scratch that I do have one raised wooden strip that goes into one of the bedrooms and it went over it just fine. He cleaned my bathroom rugs, 2 memory foam and one a regular shag type, with zero issue, the only signs he'd been in the bathroom were neat, orderly lines on nicely vacuumed rugs. Once Reginald's job was complete, he announced he was done and returned to the base to charge without any issue whatsoever. I just moved into the apartment last Wednesdy so it did not look dirty at all but imagine my surprise when I saw all that dirt and cat hair. I have 3 cats, and two extra large litter boxes with an occasional small dog that comes up to visit briefly, not to mention the assortment of cat scratchers and cat furniture, all with bases that are close to an inch thick and Reginald tackles the bases as best he can and although it looks like he should get stuck, he hasn't. The Roborock E35 is marvelous and it works right out of the box without the app or wifi, just like it is supposed and if you do have wifi, setting it up on network and creating automatic cleaning times is just easy and hassle free thanks to the well designed Mi App.. The only thing missing from this vacuum is the ability to draw no go lines in app. If it could do that it would be perfect. Then again if it could do that you'd be paying the same price as the S50. So if you want a great robot vacuum without the greatly increased price that does almost everything the S50 can do? Well then, your search ends here. So to sum things up. PROS: It doesn't just vacuum, it does a GREAT job of it. It functions as it is supposed to, which is very well. It has an amazing app which unlocks a ton more features BUT can still be used to do excellent basic cleans by simply using the buttons on the unit itself. It has a mopping feature, though the smartest mopper as it can not differentiate between hard floor and carpet, it is nice to be able to create virtual lines with magnet strips or boxes to stop it from trying to mop your carpets. It can be set up to do scheduled cleans and you have options. What days of the week, (M-S, not specific dates of the week) you can set up what time on each day, and the suction power you want it to use. It is reliable. I had it get stuck three times since I first used it. Twice in the exact same spot under my dresser that has a decorative arch that comes down on the front. When the vacuum went under from the side, it go stuck under the arch. I fixed the issue by placing 3 stacks of furniture sliders under the dresser legs, which raised it just enough to provide clearance for the vac to get under from front or side and it hasn't got stuck again since. The other time it got stuck was when it climbed up the base of my pedestal fan. It has not gottem stuck on it since though. It even vacuums onto and ove the thin vinyl litter catch mats that I have placed in front of my litter boxes. Bathroom mats are a breeze as are door thresholds and pet furniture bases which are atleast a half an inch thick. The app is OUTSTANDING. CONS: No smart mapping with onscreen drawn no go lines in app, which is to be expected at this price point. Still though, it us a con that it is lacking that feature. No way for vacuum to differentiate between carpet and hard floor when mopping. For this price they absolutely SHOULD have included a roll or two of magnet strips since the robot vac can recognize them and avoid those area where they are used . Come on Roborock, for 305.00+, that was a cheap move on your part, not including a roll and it is for this reason and the reason after this one, that I am docking the vacuum 1 star. I do wish it had a second mini spin brush on the front so it could get the edges well, no matter which direction the vacuum is facing and again, for this price, it should have been included. Bare in mind, it does seem to go back on it's own to get the edges with the brush side against the edge but it wouldn't need to do that if they would have went ahead and had to mini brushes instead of the one. Overall the vacuum is an excellent choice because while there are other vacuums that are cheaper with more features, I just feel like this one will really last and for the features that are included, at this price point it is an excellent choice. On the other hand if you DO have the extra money, I would go with the S50 because it would be nice to create boundaries and send the vacuum to a specific area in app.

Roborock E35
